Lodhrasavam (Madhwasava) is used for urinary disorders. It helps to treat chyluria, polyuria, alkanuria, indicanuria, biluria, urobilinuria, chronic nephritis, diabetes insipidus, phosphaturia, albuminuria, metrorrhagia, anemia, piles, malabsorption syndrome, and skin diseases. It is also hepatoprotective and improves liver functions. Lodhrasavam is an ancient Ayurvedic medicine used in leucoderma, anemia, obesity, etc. It contains 5 – 10 % of self-generated alcohol. This self generated alcohol and the water present in the product acts as a medium to deliver water and alcohol soluble active herbal components to the body.
